EVP
One of the most common forms of evidence collected during investigations are EVPs (Electronic Voice Phenomena.) While adhering to strict protocols, audio recordings are made while one member asks questions that might elicit a response. During review of these recordings, possible responses are sometimes heard, suggesting further analysis. Researchers utilize both analog and digital voice recorders.
Gettysburg Battlefield, June 16, 2001
These EVP were recorded in an area where heavy fighting occurred on July 2, 1863. During this investigation, period music was utilized and an orb was simultaneously observed for several seconds by two investigators using night vision scopes.
Gettysburg Battlefield, December 2001
These EVP were recorded near the Wheatfield, where bloody fighting took place on July 2, 1863. Andy was wearing period clothing during the investigation. While investigating in this area, footsteps were clearly heard to approach as questioning during recording sessions focused upon personal information (rather than information pertaining to the battle.) When the focus of questioning returned to the battle, the footsteps were clearly heard receding.
These two EVP were obtained as Tonya asked questions. These questions focused more upon soldiers' personal information, rather than the battle.
